2012 the Mississippi Coast is clearly back from hurricane Katrina which slammed into the Coast on August 29, 2005.
The Coast's many casinos are bigger and more luxurious than ever with the change to land-based casinos, which was approved by the legislature shortly after Katrina.
Mississippi law requires all the casinos on the Coast to be near the shoreline, which is a great place to be because of the fun and views such locations offer.
