FLorida spring-break partying: down but not out because of cornavirus

Colleges around the U.S. are scaling back spring break or canceling it entirely to discourage partying that could spread the virus and raise infection rates back on campus.

States go own way on Covid rules despite cautions and spreading variants

Despite President Biden’s sharp criticism of Texas and Mississippi for abruptly removing mask mandates, states and cities are aggressively going their own ways on Covid-19 restrictions as they decide when and how to reopen their economies.

The change in presidents has brought nearly diametrical federal responses to the pandemic, but the country is facing a patchwork of rules, state to state and city to city, similar to what was seen when the virus arrived a year ago and during the last months of the Trump administration.

PR Suggestions for urging employees to get vaccinations.

As communicators plan for the year ahead, one thing is certain: The COVID-19 vaccine will play an important role. Returning to the workplace, safeguarding employees and protecting the broader community will hinge upon whether or not employees take the vaccine.

On the surface, this communication challenge may seem insurmountable. Fake news, toxic social media misinformation and eroding trust in institutions like government and media appear to be a recipe for a communication disaster.
