Great work and plan. Chris Thompson and I have been working some issues. Here are some notes on communications, and support of the community information plan you are recommending. Sorry for the length of the notes.
NGOs and other support teams are growing rapidly but we have no list of who they are and no idea what areas are covered. I have asked for 6 dedicated volunteers to be recovery liaisons to support information flow. This is "information aid"

As you know, there are a few more UN type roles such as sanitation, wash cluster but will determine them as we go. They will be assigned to support your team at the eoc (our command center) we need to label the room properly with signs for directing foot traffic. Among other things, These liaisons roles will be to create a directory of who is operating in the aor (military for area of operation) they each need a clipboard with tablet and a form to register who is doing what and collect poc info. I.e. email and cell #. If someone can get 2 doz clipboards that's appreciated. But ill check with monsignor in the morning. I asked Steven to create the form for them he will bring it in the morning. Simon is currently collecting info on all vol mgt folks.
I had a request today for a dozen handheld radios, Simon and another are stopping by the fema coordination center to reconnoiter, get appropriate points of of contact and request some handhelds.
We need 2 vol daily who will be clerks, to type forms and signs, copy flyers and keep our forms area stocked and watch over the recharge area. We had someones iphone charger went mia off the table.
I requested a map team and a map quality printer be donated from ESRI. No eta yet.
Comms tech - Willow Brugh with GWOB (geeks without bounds) will be back tomorrow and hopefully can assist with technical needs. Our wifi access gear and engineer will arrive in the am. This network will be alotted to monsignor and your team however I request that the equipment be returned to us when it is disengaged.
Volunteer mgt - All Hands Volunteer Network has 500 volunteers and he reported into the eoc today. Ill coordinate with Mary Beth in am to determine how soon you can schedule them. They will have their own transportation and I think we can book them in 6 to 8 hr shifts.
Town Cryer: I asked a volunteer to assess the building to identify a bulletin board area for the public. Where we can post bulletins, maps, flyers and relevant operational schedules.
Operation Sandy called me tonight and I asked them for handhelds as well as a signal feed for the EOC.
Emergency & Health - I asked monsignor for a mental health room today. Folks need grief counseling.
