Friends of Rockaway and New York Cares offering free mold assessment/remediation in Rockaway

As community leaders, it's crucial we advise Rockaway residents to not rush and build their walls back until they use this amazing opportunity for a free assessment before they will rebuild potentially over mold or wet surfaces.

We are happy to announce that friendsofrockaway.org has partnered with NY Cares to cover our 11694 zone and beyond for free services including assessments, moisture testing, gutting and muck out, and free mold remediation. Thanks to the Robin Hood foundation and Navillus Construction, Friends of Rockaway will have access to 20 full time skilled laborers for several months to finish gutting homes and cleaning them properly before final mold remediation should be done. Please note, we will start in 11694 then move further down. NY Cares has established down to the 70's  and we will support them with our laborers as well. World Cares has established themselves to handle muckouts further down with their office at St. Gertrudes on 38th St.

Together we can reach thousands of people. We must create relevant work orders based on new data vs the old data being passed around or hidden from all of us. The free assessment is our way of ensuring a safe rebuild for our neighbors.
