FYI: Grants for Volunteer Relief
Citizens Committee for New York is awarding $5,000 grants to volunteer led groups providing relief to areas hard hit by Hurricane Sandy. $5K is not a lot but it can by more warmers or other supplies like emergency cell phones, cover buses for volunteers, etc.

A 501(c)3 is not required but the groups who receive grants must have a bank account or a fiscal sponsor.
