Rebuilding Long Beach - Starting with Heart & Soul of the City - the Boardwalk

Those of us who grew up playing skee-ball on the Long Beach boardwalk and, as adults, live and play along this magnificent beach, can't help but shed a tear as we say 'Good-bye' to a huge part of our life. 

But with each tear there is also hope that the new boardwalk will be developed with the future in mind.  As City Councilman Scott Mandel said: "The city will look to rebuild the boardwalk in a way that better protects it from natural disasters".

Here's hoping that we will soon be back on the volleyball courts, back in the waves, and back on the new and improved Long Beach Boardwalk ...
